Ngaanyatjarra Radio Show
The Ngaanyatjarra Radio Show now broadcasts for one hour each weekday
over the Radio 5NPY network via the CAAMA satellite to about 30
communities and homelands in the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and
Yankunytjatjara lands. Through this program we are able to spread
the news and views from the Ngaanyatjarra communities, and provide
a Ngaanyatjarra language program to help strengthen language and
culture in the region. We are also able to play music by local bands
to a broader audience and spread important messages from Ngaanyatjarra
Council and Services, as well as health, education and other service
providers. Programs are also being made and broadcast locally in
several of the BRACS communities, with some being sent in for broadcast
on the Ngaanyatjarra Radio Show.

Media
Cultural Advisory Service
Currently, Ngaanyatjarra Media consult with all crews entering the
Ngaanyatjarra Lands. Where possible we encourage the services of
a Cultural Advisor to assist these crews with community interaction,
interpreting and cultural protocols. We also regularly inspect the
Ngaanyatjarra Media Archives for footage which is no longer appropriate
to use or screen due to the content of deceased people.
